These past 2 days have been so incredible. Obviously, Christmas was amazing, actually amazing. All of my presents were beautiful, my absolute GEM of a sister took all of my many hints and got me some YSL lipstick, which is now my baby. I think everyone liked their presents from me too, although I think Ged wants to swap the Fred Perry tie for something else because he says it’s too thin for work. I don’t know what Kathleen was thinking when she picked her present for Ged. It’s a really thick grey cardi with a collar and it just looks like it should be in the East 17 - Stay Another Day video, or something Snoop Dogg would wear in the winter months. Quite hilarious really. Anyway, Nan and Grandad came round for Christmas lunch and that was lovely. I accidentally dropped the turkey and Dad went a little psychotic for a few minutes but everyone else roared with laughter, only me apparently. We then had to Skype with my family in America for about an hour, which was the definition of awkward. Don’t get me wrong, I love family, but these are the people I haven’t seen since 2004 and I’m not too sure my cousin Hayley actually knows who I am. Boxing Day was the best, I haven’t been so relaxed all year. I lay on the sofa watching Top Gear and Harry Potter until about 6, when me and Kathleen walked down to the new cinema in New Brighton. It’s very swish and quite mad also, the fact there’s a cinema about 5 minutes away from my house. Went to see New Years Eve, which can I say, is the cutest thing I’ve watched all year. It was such an emotional rollercoaster, one minute we were crying, the next we were laughing, it was brill. And, Zac Efron’s dancing at the end deserves an Oscar. Because the lights in the screen we were in didn’t go off for the whole film, we were given 2 free tickets for any film at any time, bonus. On the way home some lads were yelling to us “hello sausage!” Not too sure if they meant this in the way of a pick up line, but I guarantee you, they won’t be picking any girl up if they keep using sausage as a term of endearment. Watched Gavin and Stacey in bed until half 2, which was a bit silly but such is the modern world, and today I have to finally face the wrath of revision. I’ll do a smidge of French and then I’m off to find Fran’s birthday present. This has been a ridiculously long post, you have been updated.
